Position Summary: The Manager, Unified Champion Schools- University Engagement will oversee day-to-day execution of the College/University programming within the United States. The Manager will assist USA state Programs in building partnerships to grow campus engagement through collegiate Unified Sports and Special Olympics clubs.
Primary Responsibilities: Execute and oversee the management of the US based university unified sports and student club program Assist US state Programs with technical assistance as it relates to maintenance and growth of university engagement programming Manage and oversee multiple US based partnership with NIRSA, NCAA, and Greek organizations (ie, national fraternities and sororities). Oversee national-level events with partners Oversee and grow Unified Sports Rivalry Series Create and manage multiple subcommittees to oversee specific areas of work Create and implement new college/university initiatives Manage the ongoing implementation of post high school transition based worked across the US Create resources to drive growth and sustainability of USA college/university Special Olympics engagement Provide support to the Unified Champion Schools department With Global Youth Engagement team, support development of fundraising and corporate/foundation partnership materials Collaborate with Global Youth Engagement team to adapt ex-USA university engagement resources to USA context and vice versa Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree 3+ Professional experience Extensive experience with Special Olympics at the collegiate level Expert knowledge of Unified Sports Ability to create and execute a national plan Ability to manage working teams of professionals and volunteers Experience with creating and executing national projects and initiatives Ability to work independently, as well as in a group Interpersonal skills. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal Strong attention to detail Ability to travel independently
