Wellness/Fitness: Graduate assistant will assist the assistant director for wellness and fitness assessment lab in areas including, but not limited to, teaching group exercise classes, personal training, special event management, marketing wellness area, facility/equipment maintenance & inventory, fitness assessments, office coverage, facility management, and customer service. Preferred qualifications include bachelor’s degree in appropriate field, CPR, AED, and first aid certification; group fitness instructor and personal training certification from a nationally recognized fitness organization (AFAA, ACE, NSCA, ACSM); experience teaching group exercise classes, personal training, and performing fitness assessments; excellent communication and people skills required;
Wellness/Fitness terms of contract:
August 2018 – May 2019; Evaluation at the end of the first year is required before second year appointment.
Salary: $12,000 stipend, an additional $1,000 per semester towards in-state tuition/fees, out of state fee waiver if applicable; housing and/or meal options may be available;
