POSITION DESCRIPTION: Full-time professional exempt staff position with full benefits. The Coordinator for Graphic Design and Creative Services serves as senior graphic designer with additional responsibilities for photography, videography, and marketing University Recreation & Wellness (RecWell) programs, facilities, events, and services. Specific responsibilities include collaborating with internal stakeholders to design and produce engaging on-brand visuals; assisting programmers in developing and executing strategic marketing plans; managing print and digital signage in RecWell facilities; coordinating services for outsourced printing and production; planning and producing photo, video, and social media content; hiring, training, and supervising student designers, photographers and videographers; and managing the departmental visual identity and creative asset library.
START DATE: September 10, 2018, preferred.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, the range is $55,000 -- $65,000.
BENEFITS: 22 days annual leave, 14 paid holidays, 3 days personal leave, 15 days sick leave; University contributions to health insurance and retirement plans; tuition remission.

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have, as a minimum: Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts/design, marketing, communications, or related field; 3 years professional experience in related field; demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud design software; artistic and technical photography skills; some experience with videography; strong knowledge of the principles and best practices of graphic and visual design, marketing, social media, and copywriting. Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree; some supervisory experience; experience working with a web content management system; ability to analyze and troubleshoot software and hardware issues; and experience with electronic project management software.
