University Recreation. Coordinates the work activities and administrative functions associated with the competitive sports program, which includes; personnel management, program design, reviewing, revising and implementing policies/procedures (program handbooks, rules, training manuals, etc.) as well as assists with Camps and Conferences planning for summer months.
Hours: M-F, 8a-5p; evenings and weekends as necessary

Required qualifications include Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Recreation, Physical Education or Sports Management; two years of increasingly responsible experience in a recreation setting; demonstrated ability in the administration of Intramural sports, Sports Officiating and summer camp programs; knowledge of sports rules, policies and procedures and program operations for a comprehensive Intramural sports program; demonstrated positive interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive attitude; must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends; ability to perform the essential functions of the job. Desired qualifications include Master’s degree, preferably in Recreation, Physical Education or Sports Management; demonstrated ability to organize and direct work activities of student employees; demonstrated strong working ability of various software applications; demonstrated ability to train student personnel in the area of sports officiating, program administration and leadership development.
