The Assistant Director Student Success & Patron Engagement will conduct all student employee recruitment, hiring, and training for the Department of Recreational Sports. Facilitate student employee development through training programs. Oversee all marketing efforts for the department, including development of marketing materials, serving as the social media point person and oversight of the department website. Manage daily facility operations related to the Welcome Desk and Membership Services (communication, membership sales, guest fees, program registration). Supervise student employees in positions of Member Services representatives, Operations Assistants, and Marketing Assistants.
Develop, manage and implement department wide student employee hiring program to include marketing, outreach, online application process, and on-boarding.
Hire, train, schedule, supervise, evaluate and develop student employees, specifically Member Services Representatives and Operations Assistants, a Marketing Graduate Assistant and marketing student employees.
Design, direct and implement internal staff development and leadership program, providing opportunities for current student employees to advance positions within the department.
Responsible for the creation and implementation of the year-long Real World student employee training program – educational sessions focused on important life-skills topics essential for student success.
Serve as the chair of the Student Leadership Team, an advisory board comprised of student employee leaders pertaining to student employment policies, procedures and guidelines.
Oversight of the Student Employee Performance Program, providing consistency in student employee performance management and evaluations.
Coordinate employee recognition initiatives including Student Employee of the Month, Student Employee of the Year and student staff appreciation events.
Oversee the department in developing marketing strategies to students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni and families.
Direct oversight of the department web page. Serve as the social media point person for the department.
Direct all membership services areas for the department.
