As a member of the Department of Campus Recreation, develop, administrate and evaluate a comprehensive club sport program, which consists of nearly 40 club sports and 1500 members. Provide direct oversight of the administration of all club sports; overall development training, assignment, supervision and evaluation of the part-time student employees; schedule and supervise contests and events, preparation of reports, analyses, evaluation and enhancement of existing programs, and budget management; assist with the identification and correction of risk management concerns; address customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Client service minded, entrepreneurial spirit and creative thinking skills to resolve issues. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to express ideas concisely and clearly, in written form and verbally, using correct rules of punctuation, grammar and style. Proficiency in the use of basic computer applications relevant to job duties. Specialized knowledge of program activity and industry best practices. Demonstrated background in the development and management of a club sports program in a university setting. Service orientation, program management, sound judgement and decision-making, critical thinking, development of original ideas, and creative problem solving skills. Leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across the organization, internally and externally. Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrated ability to appropriately exercise independent judgement, initiative, tact, diplomacy and patience, and to successfully interact with diverse student, staff, academic and public populations. Knowledge of a wide variety of sports and recreational activities, including familiarity with their related equipment, space, travel requirements, and coordination between other university departments. Proven ability to plan and implement program activities and special events. Creativity in the development and perseverance in initiating, implementing and completing these programs. Knowledge of sound financial principles; ability to manage a program funded by and limited by student fees and donor guidelines. Experience with student leadership guidance including but not limited to advising and developing experience in program planning, budget implementation and evaluation. Ability to assess the needs of students with respect to leadership development. Knowledge of local, regional and national organizations and programs as they relate to current and planned programs. Experience with risk management concepts as they relate to club sports including staffing, transportation, practices and related events in an academic setting.
Desired: Master's Degree in related field and 2-4 years of progressively responsible work related to Club Sports in an academic setting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of campus policies and procedures.
