Job Purpose: Oversee operations of the Competitive Sports Program including intramurals and sports clubs. Assists with organization, implementation, supervision, and evaluation of the Program. Responsible for team registrations, facility reservations, CRC summer camps, and Competitive Sports Program risk management.
Provide guidance, support, and oversight for sport clubs.
Oversee all aspects of intramural team registration and communications.
Oversee facility reservations for intramural games, special events, sport club practices and sport club events.
Coordinate day-to-day operations of CRC Summer and Break Camps.
Coordinate all aspects of administering the CRC vehicles.
Ensure all competitive sports activities are following Georgia Tech and CRC risk management guidelines.
Collaborate with Campus Recreation, the Center for Community Health and Wellbeing, and Institute staff on joint efforts.
Coordinate and implement training of all sport club officers, specifically training officers.
Gather, interpret, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
Provide oversight and implementation of employee payroll policies and procedures.
Impact & Influence: This position will interact on a consistent basis with: Students, faculty/staff, Georgia Tech departments, governing bodies, and non-campus entities such as vendors and coaches. This position will typically advise and counsel: Students, student employees, sport-club coaches and student groups. This position will supervise: Oversees work of student employees.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field such as recreation, sports management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience supervising or advising student leaders.
Certifications: Valid driver's license.
Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; organizational skills; ability to work independently and part of a cohesive team. Demonstrated history of effective decision making skills and leadership development competencies. Demonstrated success managing, supervising, and mentoring student employees. Demonstrated integrity, ethics, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Must possess a working knowledge and understanding of multicultural competency and the ability to develop learning outcomes and assessment reports.
Preferred Education: Master's degree in Sport Administration, Exercise Science or related area.
Preferred Work Experience: N/A
Preferred Certifications: CPR, First Aid, and AED Instructor.
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of IMLeagues, Fusion, & SubItUp.
