Job Description The Assistant Manager of Intramural and Club Sports will support the planning, administration, and supervision of Boston University's comprehensive Club and Intramural Sports programs as well as summer Children's Camps. Collaborate with the business office on Club Sports budgetary and financial transactions for 33 club teams in addition to departmental business including management of departmental van fleet, coach hiring, fundraising, and student employee oversight. Provide guidance and leadership development to our student athletes while helping them to address short and long-term goals for their teams. Assist with Intramural Sports functions, administration of leagues, tournaments, and special programs as needed. Contribute to department culture through participation on committees and work-teams.
Must have experience with maintaining and monitoring budgets and fiscal responsibilities. Excellent written and oral communications skills. Ability to make decisions that will affect the department. Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred with 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
