This position is responsible for the supervision and coordination of club sports, late-night programming and special events as well as assisting the Associate Director of Intramurals and Special Events with the Mini Canes Summer Camp Program.
This position reports to the Associate Director of Intramurals and Special Events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide direction and guidance to over 48 club sports to include mentoring student participants and advising coaches. • Assist club sport officers with their budget preparation and presentation to the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC). • Assist club sport teams with travel planning, purchasing requests, and reimbursements. • Conduct club sports officers meetings. • Coordinate fundraising and revenue generating opportunities for club sports. • Oversee the Federation of Club Sports Council which is the governing body of all club sports. • Track and Monitor the 122 budgets consisting of SAFAC funds, donation accounts and agency accounts totaling over $250,000 (70% effort). • Assist in the overall administration of the Mini Canes Summer Camp Program, specifically extended care, swim staff and special events (20% effort). • Develop and Implement late night programming events in conjunction with the Division of Student Affairs. Develop student learning outcomes and assess late night events success (10% effort). • Possess a personal commitment to a wellness lifestyle. • Complete other reports and assignments as required by the Associate Director or the Executive Director of the Department of Wellness and Recreation
Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
• Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements): • Minimum of three years of relevant experience or a combination of education and work experience required. • Due to the nature of the responsibilities, flexibility to a variable work schedule (early mornings, evenings and weekends) is required.
