The Coordinator of Intramural and Club Sports reports to the Associate Director of Programs and directly manages a comprehensive Intramural Sports and Club Sports program for the Oakland University campus. Responsibilities include oversight of day to day operations associated with program implementation, risk management, policy and procedure development and implementation, scheduling, student staff supervision and training, strategic planning, budgeting and program assessment. Supervision is provided by the Coordinator to a graduate assistant and a support staff of 30+ student employees. The Coordinator works closely with other University Recreation and Well-Being department team members in facility operations, marketing, student development initiatives, and continued development of the department.

Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Sport Management, Recreation, Physical Education or related field. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing intramural sports and club sport programs, policies, and procedures. Staff training and development experience, including officiating. Minimum one year experience in a higher education recreational sports setting (two years of graduate assistantship in higher ed/recreational sports will count as one year of professional experience). Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others.
