We are seeking a dynamic candidate for our new Coordinator of Aquatics, Camps, and Events position. Montana State is a growing school and our RSF department is growing with it.
The Coordinator of Aquatics, Camps, and Events will be an integral part of the RSF team. Each of these units are very different and carry their own standards, goals, and supervision. This position requires a very organized and independent thinker to administer these units, supervise 35+ students, and help coordinate programmatic events.
Brief Description of Duties:
Coordinate and provide leadership, management, development to Aquatics Program, which includes about 25 employees.
Manage the Lifeguard head guards, open swim times and lifeguard/aquatics related certifications and training’s.
Manage the pool users on needs, lane use and basic health/safety
Create and administer Aquatics 360 Feedback review systems.
Mentor a Graduate Teaching Assistant on various job tasks.
Manage the Aquatics budget; purchase and maintain equipment for Aquatics.
Manage pool reservations and rentals by entities on campus and off campus while working with Sports Facilities and contracts.
Oversight of all aspects of Bobcat Summer Youth Camp (BSYC). Provide leadership, management, and development to camp programming.
Manage the BSYC budget; purchase and maintain equipment for BSYC.
Supervise, hire, train, and manage performance of work related tasks for summer camp staff, which includes about 12 employees.
Market all camp offerings to MSU and surrounding community each year.
Attend educational training’s and audit safety and risk management aspects of BSYC yearly.
Provide exceptional customer service to all camp families.
