Coordinates the work activities and administrative functions associated with the competitive sports program, which includes; personnel management, program design, reviewing, revising and implementing policies/procedures (program handbooks, rules, training manuals, etc.) as well as assists with summer programming.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Recreation, Physical Education or Sports Management. Two years of increasingly responsible experience in a recreation setting. Demonstrated ability in the administration of Intramural sports, Sports Officiating and summer camp programs. Knowledge of sports rules, policies and procedures and program operations for a comprehensive Intramural sports program. Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive attitude. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
