If you, or someone you know has a strong passion for Campus Recreation, and loves a challenge check out our latest openings: The Coordinator of Competitive Sports & Camps is responsible for the oversight and management of all competitive sports and camp programming. This position will manage designated interns, graduate staff, part-time officials, supervisors and camp program staff. Core Responsibilities: - Manage all aspects of staff management relating to competitive sports and camp programs.
- Coach/mentor direct and in-direct part-time staff.
- Ensure accuracy and timely updates of all scheduling/marketing platforms.
- Responsible for all policies and procedures for designated areas of responsibility. Coordinate and manage camp programming.
- Responsible for the management and inventory of all sport and camp supplies.
- Revise/approve marketing publications and handbooks for all program areas.
- Evaluate performance and program effectiveness.
- Demonstrate and teach conflict and risk management skills to entire competitive sports student staff.
Administration: - Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets as it relates to program area.
- Assist with scheduling, recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating intramural student supervisors, officials, scorekeepers, and train and schedule all camp counselors.
- Responsible for ensuring programs are in line with current industry trends.
- Manage budget, strategic planning, and assessment as it pertains to the program area.
- Prepare regular written communication such as monthly and annual reports, financial and participation reports and equipment inventory reports.
Site Specific Responsibilities: - Assist the division of student affairs in the shared supervision of club sports.
Coordinator of Adventure Recreation Core Responsibilities: - Recruit, schedule, select and train Adventure Recreation desk staff, and Trip Leaders
- Responsible for all facets of the Outdoor Trip programs. Implement, schedule, organize, train and staff all the trips
- Responsible for the Adventure Recreation Rental Center
- Responsible for climbing wall programming and special events.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Ensure the needs and questions of the public are understood and responded to. Maintain good public relations at all time
- Inspect facility for hazards or faulty equipment and ensure repairs are promptly and properly made
- Evaluate performance and program effectiveness of Adventure Rec programming areas
- Assist in facility management, policy development and risk management for the adventure recreation trips and rental center
- Develop and maintain inventory of all Outdoor Rental equipment
Administration: - Responsible for the operating, preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets as it relates to program area

- Collaborate with other campus departments to develop the outdoor recreation program
- Implement a comprehensive risk management plan with the Assistant Director of Aquatics and Safety that pertain to the areas that are under their umbrella of responsibility
- Ensure staff compliance with required certifications
- Employ appropriate climbing safety and emergency techniques and train staff through in-service work sessions
Site Specific Responsibilities: - Responsible for the department’s motor pool and related certifications/trainings
- Assist in the day to day operations of the climbing wall
