Position Duration: Ten month, renewable, at-will position; summer employment may be available, start date negotiable (prefer July 2018)Compensation: $1,300/ month stipend, health benefits available, out-of-state tuition waiver (in-state tuition and fees are approximately $2,300 per semester for 9 credit hours), professional development allowance.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sport Management or a related field. Demonstrated management skills including strong interpersonal and organizational communication skills. Acceptance into an SFA graduate program. A valid driver’s license. Minimum one year of experience in the specified program area. ARC CPR/First Aid for Professional Rescuer (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire). Aquatics GA: ARC Lifeguarding and one or more of the following: WSI, LGI, or ARC Instructor Trainer.
Preferred: Management experience within a campus recreation program. A desire to enter a recreation- related field is preferred but not required. Knowledge of student learning and student development theories is strongly desired. Note: Strongly prefer WFR/WFA and trip leading or rock wall leadership experience for the outdoor positions. Aquatics preferred: Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator. Fitness preferred: Personal Trainer certification and/or Group Fitness instructor certifications.
