The Assistant Director will be an experienced professional in the field of Recreational Sports who will be able to demonstrate a commitment to a student-centered approach to teaching and learning and the ability to expand and strengthen programming primarily in the area of Intramural Sports, with secondary focus on other RSW programs. The Assistant Director will assume general responsibility for the design, implementation, coordination, and promotion of intramural sports. The Assistant Director will supervise one graduate assistant and undergraduate support staff.
A master's degree in sports administration, health education, recreational sports, higher education, or related field from an accredited college/university and two years of campus recreation experience, with at least one year of programming intramural sports leagues and tournaments are required. The successful candidate must have the ability to develop a comprehensive Intramural Sports program and the willingness to develop knowledge in other RSW programs. Must be able to teach and train Intramural Sports staff including graduate assistant, supervisors, and officials.
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by the University's carrier as this position does require some travel.
