Registry of Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals
The Assistant Director Intramural Sports supervises all aspects of the Intramural Sports program within the Campus Recreational Sports for the students, faculty, staff and public members of the Department of Recreational Sports – over 1.9 million users annually. This position includes the supervision and direction of up to 2 graduate assistant, 3 program assistants, and 32 student hourly year-round staff, and 175 season employees for programs at Evan Williams Field (EWF), Intramural Center (IC), Student Recreational Sports Center (SRSC), Woodlawn Fields, and the Recreational Sports Field Complex (RSFC). This position reports to the Program Director of Intramural and Club Sports. The salary range is $47,476-$53,000 and Indiana University provides an excellent benefits package.
Preferred position start date: Spring 2019
REQUIRED: Masters’ degree in Recreation or related field and two years of experience in Sports programming in a college recreational setting.
Experience supervising part-time/temporary employees. Possess and demonstrate: (1) commitment to student development and risk management, (2) event planning and counseling expertise, (3) supervision of hourly employees and/or volunteers, (4) relational skills, and (5) demonstrated proficiency with computer software to include spreadsheet, database, word processing, and electronic communications.
Preferred Qualifications: Registered Collegiate Recreational Sports Professional (RCRSP). Background in Sports Officiating including certifications.
