Baldwin Wallace University is seeking applicants for a full-time Coordinator for Recreational Sports and Services. Administers and supervises the fitness area, programs, and instructors. Reports to the Director, Associate Director, and Assistant Director. Will assist with facility operations and management. Serves as building manager on selected evenings, weekends, and special facility related events. Provides weekend and special event programming, provides a comprehensive marketing and promotion program. Reports to the Director and Associate Director of Recreation and Sports.
Facility Related Duties:
Supervises the weight and fitness areas and enforces all policies
Maintains and operates facility equipment and facilities
Supervises, schedule, and monitor student employees
Helps with security of facility and equipment
Provides information on facilities about programs and facilities
Repairs and maintains fitness facility and program equipment
Maintains equipment inventory and makes recommendations for replacement of equipment
Program Related Duties:
Plan and supervise fitness noncredit classes
Work as building manager
Supervise and evaluate student building support staff
Coordinate payroll for all department student employees
Schedule, supervise, train, and evaluate fitness instructors
Publicize all department activities and programs
Completes student learning outcomes
T, W, TH - Day Shift
Friday - 1-9pm
Saturday - 8-5

Bachelor’s degree Health and Physical Education, Recreation, Sports Management, or related fields and one or more certifications in NETA, NSCA, ACE, or ACSM required. Master’s degree is preferred along with 2 or more years experience. Two-year GA position will count as 1 year experience.
Experience in a comprehensive recreation center, preferably in a higher education environment
Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
Must have a valid Driver’s License, good driving record and be able to travel.
Proven success in program development, project management and implementation.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation/public speaking skills.
An understanding of the mission and value of a comprehensive liberal arts University.
Energetic, proactive, and collaborative team player, with a passion for supporting student s
Demonstrated proficiency in using computer systems and software for word processing, database management, email and the Internet (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is normally performed in a interior/office work environment. Light to moderate physical effort is required. Limited travel may be required. Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks. Will be required to complete a background check and complete University compliance training.
