Manages a sub unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures. Represents the sub unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.
Develop, promote, execute and evaluate a comprehensive CrossFit, Personal Training, and Small Group Training program of 20+ classes per week, which includes recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising and evaluating 25+ CrossFit coaches, personal trainers and two student supervisors.
Implement risk management policies for CrossFit, Personal Training and Small Group Training program including responsibility for the upkeep and maintenance of Fitness Studios and CrossFit Box.
Marketing of the fitness program.
Develop, organize, and promote new and on-going fitness special event programs and services.
Prepare and analyze records, formulate statistical reports, evaluations, participant surveys and data.
Assist in preparation of CrossFit, Personal Training and Small Group Training budget including equipment purchases, class prices and trainer payroll.
Assist with Campus and Community Wellness programs.
Public speaking in the realms of fitness and Recreational Sports.
Conduct fitness assessments.
Cultivate campus wide fitness initiatives.
Use initiative and resourcefulness in planning and implementing short and long-range improvements.
Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
Maintain a CrossFit Level 1 Certification.
Maintain a nationally recognized Fitness Certification.
Teach a wide variety of fitness formats.
Teach and maintain the Personal Trainer training course.
Proficiency with technology including FUSION, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms.
Proficiency with fitness equipment maintenance and fitness room sound systems.
Ability to direct, lead and work with a diverse student population.
Understanding of the application of student development concepts, including principles of individual and group behavior, and advising students individually and in groups on routine matters.
Maintain American Red Cross CPR Instructor status.
