Graduate Administrator (GA) for Aquatics
Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, supervise, and evaluate employees including: lifeguards and head lifeguards.
Assist with training, supervision, and evaluation of water safety instructors and lifeguard instructors.
Manage day to day operations of both the Cary Street Gym and MCV Campus aquatic facilities.
Collaborate with the Facility/Pool Coordinator to identify, plan, and coordinate regular routine aquatic facility maintenance, emergency maintenance, and work requests.
Assist in the scheduling of all aquatic facilities, including internal programming and rentals.
Assist with planning, implementing, and managing a comprehensive aquatics programs.
Assist with the coordination and supervision of formal and informal aquatics programming, including learn-to-swim, aquatic certification courses, lap swimming, and recreational aquatic activities.
Assist with departmental risk management.
Bachelor’s degree; prefer degree in recreation, physical education or related field.
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
Current Lifeguard Instructor Certification or ability to obtain.
Current Water Safety Instructor or ability to obtain.
Lifeguard Instructor Trainer certification or ability to obtain.
Certified Pool Operator, Aquatic Facility Operator, or similar pool operator’s license or ability to obtain.
