The department of Campus Recreation at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate Director, Facilities Operations.

The Associate Director of Facilities and Operations will:
Oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic planning for all campus recreation facilities.
Coordinate and lead departmental emergency and risk management plans.
Cultivate an inclusive, safe, and diverse environment.
Address customer comments, concerns, behavior, and conduct issues as necessary.
Oversee customer service areas including membership and reservations.
Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a diverse group of professionals overseeing areas of membership, reservations, and facility management.
Develop strategic plans, goals, and measurable objectives for areas of oversight.
Ensure the planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of projects and policies are conducted in accordance with established standards.
Collaborate with key stakeholders on and off campus to develop a comprehensive approach to create and support a culture of well-being for a diverse university community.
Provide effective customer service delivery.
Assist with conducting evaluation and assessment.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback and assessment data into strategic planning.
Assist the Director with budget development and budget management of all projects and operations within Campus Recreation.
Research and benchmark trends and opportunities for growth.
Support the Director of Campus Recreation with the execution of executive and administrative duties of considerable scope and complexity requiring excellent initiative, judgment, knowledge and critical thinking.
Assist with department and division wide programs and initiatives.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Education, Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation, Higher Education or related field and 4 years of related professional experience with progressive responsibilities; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Education, Sports Management, Physical Education, Recreation, Higher Education or related field and 6 years of related professional experience with progressive responsibilities.
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
Strong leadership, team management, interpersonal and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including at minimum Word, Excel and Outlook.
Excellent interpersonal, written communication skills, presentation skills, and quality customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
