Assist in the administration of all aspects of the Intramural Sports program including Club Sports. There will also be opportunities to work with other programs in the RFW Department.
1. Plan, promote, supervise, evaluate and conduct Intramural Sports activities. 2. Assist with the hiring, training and evaluation of Intramural Supervisors, Officials and Scorekeepers. 3. Attend and conduct Captain’s Meetings for all League Sports. 4. Assist with scheduling of sport activities as well as Officials and Scorekeepers to work them. 5. Maintain daily office hours and supervise nightly activities as needed. 6. Assist with advising of individual Club Sports including but not limited to advising Club travel and hosted events, club activities, special events and club finances. 7. Other duties as assigned.
1. Assist with Special Events. (Labor Day at the Lake, Rec Madness and more) 2. Assist in the operation of the Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center. 3. Assist with Student Wellness programs. 4. Assist with Outdoor adventure trips as needed and care of equipment. 5. Attend weekly Professional Staff meetings. 6. Assist with payroll of student employees. 7. Help with care of, maintenance and inventory of all equipment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management or related major
Experience: 1-2 yrs, Campus Recreation experience as a Participant, Scorekeeper, Official or Supervisor
1. Good Interpersonal and Communications skills 2. Officiating and Sports knowledge 3. Able to Teach, Mentor and Lead students
Additional Salary Information: Graduate Assistant will be required to work 20 hours per week.
