The Assessment & Social Media Manager works closely with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications to plan, create, manage, implement, evaluate and assess Campus Recreation programs, activities, events, and social media. Incumbent must be able to collaborate with Campus Rec team members to tell the Campus Rec story, and ensure content supports the strategic communications efforts of the University. The Assessment & Social Media Manager will also assess relevant metrics for tracking performance on social media, such as engagement, brand influence, and impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan assessment and evaluation of Campus Rec programs, activities and events; create evaluation instruments, schedule formal evaluations, and document findings.
Develop and facilitate a comprehensive program of assessments across all marketing/communication channels for Campus Rec programs, activities and events.
Determine effective strategies for Campus Rec assessments, incorporating surveys, focus groups, interviews, and other methods as appropriate.
Provide ongoing leadership and continuous monitoring of Campus Rec assessment activities, partnering with Campus Rec staff in all stages—development of outcomes, surveying methodology, dissemination of measurement tools, data collection, interpretation and analysis, and effective communication of results to both internal and external stakeholders.
Regularly disseminate utility-focused summaries of data-informed insights that are tailored for a wide range of key stakeholders.
Review analytics to assess success and recommend improvements to achieve Campus Rec strategic goals.
Act as a liaison, working directly with the UA assessment team on larger climate surveys and consortium assessment programs.
Contribute to a strategic social media marketing plan for Campus Rec.
Manage and monitor social media presence across all relevant channels (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat), developing and implementing solutions to raise awareness, build communities, stimulate demand, generate traffic and increase facilities/program usage.
Evaluate data and trends around social media communications strategy; use analytics to drive and support decision-making, champion best practices, meet institutional goals, and report regularly to stakeholders.
Develop strategies to increase followership and engagement.
Provide direction to student staff involved in social media across program areas.
Coordinate and assist with special events.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Two years digital marketing and social media management experience with deep dive analytics.
Two years in assessment program management.
Effective verbal and written communications, with proven ability to adapt messaging based on audience and channel.
Strategic planning with attention to details.
Ability to relate to and assist all members of our diverse Campus Rec community.
Works efficiently and effectively without direction, but is responsive to input from stakeholders.
Master’s degree in assessment, research methods or other evaluation/measurement fields.
CPR, AED, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens certifications or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
Arizona Driver’s License or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
