The Rodale Aquatic Center (RAC) at Cedar Crest College is seeking a qualified full time aquatic specialist to instruct aquatic fitness classes, assist athletes, teach swim lessons, maintain lifeguard schedules, and assist with general office functions. This position will develop, organize and instruct water based fitness programs and swim lessons, schedule and provide direction to instructors, and otherwise assist in assuring the overall safety of the Center.
A Bachelor’s degree in related field (recreation, sports management, etc.) preferred, current certification in aquatic exercise or other fitness/aquatic based or personal training strongly preferred. CPR, AED, lifeguard, and First Aid certification required. Prior experience in an aquatic facility with fitness classes and familiarity with Aquatic Exercise Association or other aquatic fitness training affiliations desirable. Exceptional time management, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are essential. Qualified candidates must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends while the Center is operating.
