Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate the part-time student member services staff.
Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate the part-time student creative staff, including graphic designers and marketing assistants.
Coordinate a comprehensive member program to include membership promotion periods, corporate recruitment, two-week trial program, new member survey and follow up, referral program, and facility tours.
Create and monitor operating budgets for membership recruitment and marketing.
Work with the Associate Director in forecasting the annual department budget.
Assist in tracking and accounting for purchases as they relate to the position.
Manage daily cash handling operations to include intake of money and daily deposits.
Produce area monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports.
Order supplies, materials, clothing and other items for membership, pro shop, and marketing to ensure efficient and functional operation.
Become proficient in the use of CSI as a management tool of the Recreation Center as it relates to membership and budget tracking.
Develop and/or approve departmental written communications before dissemination to the college community.
Coordinate promotional efforts for the department, with an emphasis on consistency of message and brand development.
Facilitate the production and dissemination of promotional collateral, including final-product proof.
Coordinate with programming staff to develop targeted promotions.
Work closely with the Assistant Director of Competitive Sports to market all programs and services utilizing online and offline marketing channels, including print, podcasts, web, Reach, direct advertising, and social networking.
Assist with strategic planning. Provide statistical data, reports and other information for monthly and annual reports.
Develop and monitor prospective member list to maximize opportunity.
Develop and monitor canceled membership list to determine appropriate action.
Oversee media development, including the department website and multi-media presentations.
Identify appropriate communication mediums for each membership segment and coordinate regular, periodic communiques utilizing each medium identified.
Attend office, staff and department meetings as scheduled.
Actively participate in professional development programs.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Two to five years practical work experience in the field of marketing (Graduate Assistant experience equivalent to 1 year).
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong computer skills; familiarity with design programs helpful.

Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors. Contact involves troubleshooting, informing, exchanging information, negotiating, making recommendations, and giving information or instructions.
