Date of Appointment: August 5th, 2019; 2019-2020 Academic Year, additional summer hours are encouraged for training purposes.
Salary: $12 per hour up to 20 hours/week with a tuition stipend. Benefits include a tuition stipend of up to 18 credits per year (up to 9 credits per semester- fall and spring only): Salary and tuition stipend are pro-rated for appointments less than 20 hours per week. Position is contingent upon funding.
Facility Management: Assist in oversight and site management of the day-to-day operations of the Recreation & Wellness facilities. Schedule and secure student staff for daily operations.
Programming & Assessment: Research, develop, implement, and evaluate programming to ensure program goals/objectives, recreation and wellness needs, and student interests are being met.
Risk management responsibilities within the Recreation & Wellness department.
Marketing & Promotions: Design, develop and distribute marketing materials to promote the recreation and wellness programs.
Schedule: Position schedule varies based on department needs. Must be available nights and weekends as well as day hours as needed.

Acceptance into or enrollment in a graduate or post-baccalaureate program at MSUM and enrolled in a minimum of six (6) graduate credits per semester
Maintain a graduate student cumulative GPA of 3.0
Meet eligibility requirements for on-campus employment per the Business Services and Financial Aid Office Policies
Student or professional experience in recreation, fitness, athletic, and/or wellness, or another area of leadership experience is preferred
Available nights and weekends
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Strong administrative skills, including written and oral communication skills, organizational skills and project management skills
Self-motivated to perform duties as well as create and complete projects with limited supervision
Ability to provide a high level of customer service
