EKU Campus Recreation is anticipating the opening of our 130,000 sqft facility in Fall 2019! This state of the art facility will feature a 4-lane lap pool, vortex, whirlpool, and recreation pool, all in one aquatic center! We are searching for a motivated, knowledgeable, and passionate candidate to join our team, and take advantage of this great opportunity to manage this awesome addition to campus!
The Graduate Assistant of Aquatic and Youth Programs will be directly responsible for all lifeguard operations, reservations, and activity within the aquatic center. They will also be responsible for facilitating all youth programming, including and not limited to birthday parties, day camps, summer camps, and learn to swim programs. This position will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, and evaluating student employees, assessing revenue generating programs and participation statistics, facility reservations, and promotion of the youth and aquatic program.

In order for a GA to be hired or remain employed, receive stipend/payment, and enrolled in EKU, they must:
Be admitted into a degree-seeking program (program links below)
Remain full time (9 hrs Fall/Spring)
Maintain a 3.0 GPA
So long as the criteria above are fulfilled, GA’s hired by the Department of Campus Recreation can expect:
