Reed College is seeking a Sports Center Supervisor to provide excellent customer service, student worker supervision, and coordinate the building operations at the Sports Center. This role will assist the Sports Center leadership team with the day-to-day operations of the department.
In addition, this position will coordinate and support the daily functions of the Aquatics Facility including pool water chemistry, inventory of supplies and maintenance of filtration systems.
This is a part-time position working 30 hours per week, 11-months of the year, mid-July to mid-June. Pay for this position is $21.50 per hour. What you'll do
Foster positive relationships with our patrons by encouraging active engagement with our programs. Maintain positive, effective, and productive working relationships with AFOP colleagues, Reed college employees, the general public and patrons of the Sports Center.
Oversee the maintenance and inventory of the Sports Center and AFOP equipment, facilities and supplies.
Coordinate and manage the scheduling of the facilities and programs.
Assist with planning and oversight of various athletics activities. Attend athletic program events when possible and works in conjunction with the Director to manage and cover home events and activities.
Three years of experience in the field of physical education or sports facility management; or any combination of experience and education that provides the individual with the desired skills, knowledge and ability required to perform the job. A Valid Oregon Driver’s License and ability to lift 50 pounds. Availability to work nights and weekends as needed. Candidates not currently Pool Operator certified must be willing to be trained to become proficient.
