The Director of Sports & Wellness provides strategic direction to drive a comprehensive and holistic effort to enhance health and wellness programming for both the local community, membership, and overnight resort guests. Under the leadership and direction of the Resort General Manager, the Director will contribute to and support ongoing visioning efforts, the development, implementation, and evaluation of outreach, partnerships, and well-being activities in all aspects of sports and wellness programming at Boar’s Head Resort. The director will be charged with expanding the Resort Sports mission beyond the doors of our world class facilities through events and partnerships and also to draw in new users (members and resort guests) to our facilities and programs.

Representing all of the individual sports on committees and at outreach events; promoting health and wellness for the resort community; supporting all areas of the resort’s recreational sports and
The Director will focus on creative programming, partnerships, and events that will generate more interest about the resort and membership and drive resort
As the leader within all resort sports activities, the Director will play a key role in assessment of activities. This includes conducting and analyzing assessment projects for quality assurance, satisfaction, and administrative outcomes, usage and tracking data, benchmarking in order to improve membership and resort programming.
Anticipate all guests’ needs, and respond quickly & professionally to all inquiries and requests for information.
Spearhead resort member retention and growth campaigns with the assistance of the Membership Manager, including consistent follow-up to all new members following enrollment.
Forecast and manage departmental expenses and revenues for all three departments (Sports Club, Golf, and Spa).
Recommend and develop all sports collateral and other marketing efforts including monthly newsletters, and emails, in collaboration with the Sports Team and the Resorts’ Director of Sales & Marketing.
Attend and lead all department staff meetings and appropriate resort meetings including a large roll within the resorts Executive Committee.
Work closely with entire staff to ensure that membership and resort guest are receiving Boar’s Head Four Star service.
Provide special events support and guidance for membership-related functions.
Develop newsletter and weekly email updates.
Present wide knowledge-base of resort and area attractions; along with conversational ability to effortlessly provide quality guest experience and encourage both cross-promotion/sales of related products and company services/activities/products across the complex.
Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized office environment.
Contribute to the overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
