This is a full-time, 12 month, professional UUP position that reports to the Director of Campus Recreation. The Campus Recreation Assistant is responsible for administering the Competitive Sports program, which includes E-Sports, Intramural Sports, Extramural Sports, and Sport Clubs. This includes, but is not limited to: scheduling, managing and supervising the E-Sports facility, programs, and special events; developing intramural sports leagues and events; hiring, supervising and developing student employees; supervising sport clubs to ensure compliance with university and national governing body policies and procedures; chaperoning students at extramural sports events; and making purchasing and budgeting decisions related to Competitive Sports. This position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Relevant experience with E-Sports gaming, coaching or management.
Ability to operate computer equipment in the E-Sports facility, including knowledge of gaming platforms and websites.
American Heart or American Red Cross First Aid / CPR / AED certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of being hired.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Higher Education, or relevant field.
One to two years of experience administering a collegiate intramural sports, club sports, or E-Sports program.
Previous competitive level experience with multiplayer online video games.
Knowledge of NACE and Tespa rules and regulations.
This is a full-time UUP position.
For the first 10 working days, beginning Friday, July 5, 2019 and ending Thursday, July 18, 2019 applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.
