The University of Florida Department of Recreational Sports is now accepting applications for the position of Coordinator for Outdoor Recreation. This position assists in the oversight of the outdoor recreation programs, facilities and services for the Department of Recreational Sports (RecSports), which includes Lake Wauburg North and South Shores, the UF Outdoor Team Challenge Courses (UFOTCC), and the Center for Outdoor Recreation and Education (CORE). This position oversees and manages the Center for Outdoor & Recreation Education facility; one day, weekend, extended outdoor and international trips, outdoor leadership training, equipment rentals, resource library, and educational opportunities and experiences for the UF community; provide leadership and direction in equipment purchases, replacement, repair, and long range planning; supervise, mentor, evaluate, and provide professional development to the CORE leadership team and recruit, hire, schedule, train, supervise, coach, and evaluate the CORE student staff; provide oversight and instruction for the outdoor leadership course; and coordinate all aspects of risk management that pertain to the CORE program.
