The Fitness Specialist will conduct fitness assessments, one-on-one training sessions, and semi-private workouts for students, faculty, staff, and community members of the Campus Center Fitness Center. They will also assist with supervision of the student and temporary employee fitness center staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Conduct fitness assessments
Design and implement customized training routines for clients
Maintain client – trainer relationship
Attend weekly meeting with supervisor
Instruct group fitness classes as needed
Continue growth and quality of fitness programs
Manage group fitness and personal training schedule
Perform other duties as assigned
Nationally accredited personal training or strength and conditioning certification from NSCA, ACSM, NASM, or ACE
Current CPR/First Aid certification (CPR/First Aid/AED preferred)
Excellent oral and written communication skills?
Ability to handle a variety of tasks
Strong time management skills
Ability to work some evenings and weekend days if necessary
