The Stanford Department of Athletics, Physical Education, Recreation & Wellness is seeking qualified applicants for the position of contract Assistant Athletic Trainer for Club Sports.
This is a contract position of up to 20-25 hours/week for the 2019-2020 season during the months of September to June.
Serve as the Athletic Trainer to Club Sports Athletes in the Clinic. Supervise the prevention, evaluation, treatment and care of team athletic injuries.
Make injury referrals to appropriate medical personnel. Recondition and rehabilitate athletes upon referral from physicians using appropriate modalities, physical agents and therapeutic devices.
Responsible for ordering, upkeep, and inventory control of all sports medicine supplies.
Update coaches and team Athletic Trainers regularly on the status of injured athletes.
Maintain records and files on all aspects of the athletic training operations.
Position will report to Club Sports Athletic Trainer.
Attend club sports practice or games that are held on Stanford Campus when determined.
This position is not affiliated with Stanford Sports Medicine. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Therapy, or related field required. Current certified NATA member in good standing. Knowledge of and experience using methods and aids associated with the prevention, evaluation, care and treatment of athletic injuries for a wide variety of sport required. Excellent interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
Compensation: Dependent on education and experience.
