POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Director, Campus Recreation will oversee a Fitness class program that is open to all Stevenson University faculty, staff and students. They will also run the Blue U Fitness classes that are offered to Stevenson University faculty and staff. In addition, they will be responsible for all student employment in the department, including fitness/gaming room attendants, fitness instructors, intramural officials/supervisors, marketing assistants and mascots. The Assistant Director will also work with the Assistant Athletic Director, Campus Recreation and Coordinator, Competitive Sports in building a comprehensive recreation program consisting of Aquatics, Club Sports, ESports, Fitness, Informal Recreation, Intramural Sports and Outdoor Adventures.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Master's degree in Recreation, Management, or related area, plus one year of successful experience in higher education to include development and implementation of a successful recreation program, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Primary group fitness certification from an accredited, national association (AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NASM, NETA).
Valid driver license with good driving record: must be insurable.
