The Assistant Director of Marketing and Operations is responsible for the direct oversight of University Recreation marketing and provides leadership to member services and the daily operations of the Recreation and Fitness Center.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and provide direction for two professional positions - the Coordinator of Reservations & Operations and the Coordinator of Member Services & Aquatics.
Manage the oversight of departmental brand development and enhancement through print, digital and social medias. Responsibilities include website management, graphic design, social media content development, and campus and community event representation.
Develop and execute a marketing plan on behalf of the department.
Collaborate with operational and program area staff to ensure target participations are exceeded.
Hire, train, supervise, evaluate and provide direction for part-time marketing staff.
Responsible for daily operations of the Recreation and Fitness Center including daily and shift reporting through 7Point Ops, key control, Reach Media, Neptune Radio, building door schedules, etc.
Assist with the development and leadership of member services, pro shop, aquatics, student development/employment, reservations, and facility operations.
Coordinate with facility staff to ensure quick resolution to facility maintenance and repairs for customer satisfaction and safety and
Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the Recreation Center.
Responsible for the preparation, forecasting and monitoring of income and expense budgets as it relates to areas of responsibility.
Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors. Contact involves troubleshooting, informing, exchanging information, negotiating, making recommendations, and giving information or instructions.
