EKU Campus Recreation is anticipating the opening of our 130,000 sqft facility in Spring 2020! This state of the art facility will feature a lap and leisure pool, 3 group exercise studios, a MAC court, 3 hardwood courts, 3 racquetball courts, an outdoor terrace, an Esports lounge, and over 5,000 sqft of fitness space with brand new equipment! We are also in the beginning stages of our search for a Graduate Assistant of Operations and Marketing and a Graduate Assistant of Fitness to help manage, promote, and activate these spaces. GA of Operations and Marketing:
The Graduate Assistant of Operations and Marketing will be directly responsible for the entry level and leadership positions within the facility, which includes 10-15 Operations Leaders (aka facility supervisors) and 50+ student operations staff (equipment room, fitness floor, access desk). They will also be coordinating and organizing marketing and promotion plans for programs, events, and incentives with supervision responsibility of the student marketing staff and assistance from the professional staff. This position will be responsible for oversight of digital marketing platforms through FUSION, FUSION Mobile, Reach Media, Neptune Media, websites, social media, and other communication platforms. This position will assist with hiring, scheduling, and evaluating student employees, as well as assessment of participation statistics, risk mitigation, and facility management.
GA of Fitness:
The Graduate Assistant of Fitness will be directly responsible for the Group Exercise program, which includes 25-35 classes per week and 15-20 student instructors. They will also be assisting with all personal training and instructional programming, including and not limited to assessments, client consultations, client exercise programs, CPR/FA courses, and 5-10 student Personal Trainers. This position will be responsible for hiring, scheduling, and evaluating student employees, as well as assessing and developing revenue generating programs, participation statistics, risk mitigation, facility management, and promotion of the group exercise, instructional, and personal training programs.
