A position will be offered and then the student will need to apply to the graduate program of their choosing.

Aquatics Graduate Assistant:
The Aquatics GA is responsible for implementing policies and procedures, which contribute to the direct supervision, operation and advancement of the Aquatic Programs. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Coordinator, the Aquatics GA serves as a leader to Aquatic Program Managers, Building Supervisors, Lifeguards, Red Cross Instructors, Learn-to-Swim Instructors, and Service Desk Attendants. The GA will assist with programs including, but not limited to: swim lessons, safety courses, and special events. The Aquatics GA will help oversee daily operations of Aquatic Programs, Pools, HPER Building, and HPER Service Desk.The GA will also assist in the facility supervision which includes: Aggie Legacy Fields, HPER Building, Fieldhouse, North Rec Fields, and Aggie Recreation Center.
The Competitive Sports GA will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures, which contribute to the supervision, operation and advancement of both the Club Sports and Intramural Sports Programs. The GA will oversee the daily operation of sports activities, special events, registration process, plan and lead various captain/referee/officer meetings and assess the programs and provide staff support.The GA will also assist in the facility supervision which includes: Aggie Legacy Fields, HPER Building, Fieldhouse, North Rec Fields, and Aggie Recreation Center.
The Facility Operations GA will be responsible for leadership and supervision in the areas of building operations, special events/rentals, and student staff development. The ideal candidate will possess skills in customer service, organization, multi-tasking, and the maturity to supervise undergraduate student staff. The GA will work closely with the Assistant Director of Facility Operations and Coordinator of Facility Operations to ensure proper supervision of facilities and event coverage. Evening and weekend hours are to be expected and will be assigned as necessary. The GA will also assist in the facility supervision which includes: Aggie Legacy Fields, HPER Building, Fieldhouse, North Rec Fields, and Aggie Recreation Center.
The Utah State University Outdoor Programs (OP) Graduate Assistant (GA) reports to the OP Assistant Directors and assists in the operation and supervision of six program areas which include: adventure-based trips, special programs, non-credit courses/clinics, equipment rentals, climbing wall and challenge course. The GA is responsible for implementing policies and procedures that contribute to the supervision, operation, and advancement of these program areas.The GA will also assist in the facility supervision which includes: Aggie Legacy Fields, HPER Building, Fieldhouse, North Rec Fields, and Aggie Recreation Center.
• Enrollment in Utah State University Graduate Studies Program
• Must have a 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credit hours
• At least in the 40th percentile on the GRE or MAT
Additional Salary Information: Graduate Assistantship Package: $10,000 assistantship, plus full tuition, and subsidized insurance is available. Student fees/tuition differential are to be paid by the student. Up to an additional $1,000 for professional development opportunities. This position is a 10-month appointment with summer work opportunities available. Employment dates: 8/3/2020 – 5/28/2021 & 8/2/2021 – 5/27/2022. Year two is contingent upon satisfactory job performance.

The Department of Campus Recreation at Utah State University is housed in the Division of Student Affairs and is one of the most dynamic growing departments on campus. Home to 16 professional staff members and seven graduate assistants, Campus Recreation strives to serve the students with top notch programs and services.
