Georgia State University Department of Recreational Services is searching for an outstanding candidate to fill the role of Coordinator, Indian Creek. The Indian Creek Facility referred to as the Indian Creek Recreation Area (ICRA) is a 16-acre wooded off-campus facility located approximately 16 miles from the downtown campus and consists of a 4,700 sq. ft. Lodge which will be used for meetings, retreats, and special events; ¾ acre event lawn, outdoor pool, sand volleyball court, playground, picnic areas, high and low ropes course, grounds, and 3 support buildings.
Primary Duties
Daily management and operations of the entire property
Providing tours for potential user groups, marketing, scheduling all events, property access, risk management, security, set-up, and general custodial and maintenance functions
Manage Georgia State University events that take place at the Lodge (ensure access for groups, set-up, clean-up, A/V equipment, and catering)
Work in collaboration with the Department Facilities and Operations Coordinators, as well as the Aquatics and Outdoor Coordinators to ensure specific programming and operational needs at the property
Work with the Department to provide marketing materials for all facets of the property to the University Community
Handle presentations to student, faculty and staff groups
Management of the master reservation schedule for staff, equipment, and specific facility needs will be required
Oversee a small student assistant staff to carry out responsibilities during evening and weekend hours
Responsible for-Indian Creek Recreation Area website content that addresses any programs, services or facilities managed by Recreational Services
Work with our Associate Director to compile data and prepare it for presentation regarding all departmental assessments
Will require a hands-on, enthusiastic individual that will be able to represent the Department and University in a professional manner.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications
Master’s degree in Recreation, Sports Administration, Hospitality Management or related field
3-5 years of recreation management experience with an emphasis on park, recreation, and special event facilities, programming, and administration Direct experience with various facets of position duties
Experience in student development (including hiring, training, supervising, scheduling, payroll, and evaluation)
Experience with website management, marketing, and assessments
Ability to work independently
Experience with the use of a small utility vehicle and some use of small hand tools and light/moderate lifting will be necessary
Must have CPR and First Aid certifications (or obtained within 3 months of employment)
