About Campus Recreation: The Department of Campus Recreation manages the 180,000 square foot Student Recreation Center (SRC), five outdoor field sites, Sewell Park, Outdoor Center and University Camp. The Department of Campus Recreation includes a Fitness and Wellness program, Facility Operations, Intramural Sports, Sport Clubs, Outdoor Recreation, and Aquatics & Safety. Graduate assistants are offered professional development within Student Affairs and University committee appointments, special event programming and leadership conferences. Graduate assistants are involved in office meetings, departmental assessments, strategic planning and statistical analysis of programs. Graduate Assistant - Aquatics & Safety
The Aquatics & Safety Graduate Assistant is responsible for overseeing various aspects of the Aquatics & Safety Program. They will be highly involved in programming and facility aspects of including, but not limited to, personnel management, fiscal management, marketing, assessments, statistics, and risk management.

Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field.
Ability to work with diverse populations, faculty, staff and students.
Student must be enrolled in nine graduate hours each long semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Valid driver’s license.
Certifications (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire) in American Red Cross First Aid, CPR/AED and Lifeguard Training.
