Brown University invites applications for the position of Intramural & Club Sport Manager. This position will work closely with the professional staff in the areas of Fitness and Recreation. The primary function of this position will be to assist in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of Intramural & Club Sports for the entire Brown University Community – students, faculty, staff, and outside members.
All department employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the department are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test and maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid Certification (certification is available at no cost, through the Department of Athletics).

Bachelor’s Degree, required.
1-3 years relevant work experience; experience within a collegiate/university recreational program preferred.
Website management skills, or proven ability to learn.
Some officiating experience and/or experience training officials for a variety of intramural sports, preferred.
Familiarity and experience with intramural/recreational programming software, preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication & computer skills, necessary.
Excellent time management skills with ability to multitask and work both individually and as a member of a team.
Demonstrated ability to work with and relate well to students.
Administrative organizational abilities, business accounting acumen, computer knowledge, tact and commitment to Rec Sports and club sports program standards are qualities required to best serve in this position.
Knowledge of Collegiate Sport Club National Governing Bodies (NGB) policies & procedures.
CPR/AED & First Aid Certification; Certification must be obtained within three (3) months of employment.
Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
Basic proficiency in excel, word, internet & email capabilities.
Social media experience, helpful.
The successful candidate for this position will be required to complete a criminal background and DMV check satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
