Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Club & Intramural Sports, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assist with the preparation, development, and execution of all sport leagues/tournaments
Create intramural sports schedules for the academic year
Design and conduct regular training for student employees to execute supervision of intramural and club sports
Assist in the recruitment of officials for every sport
Train, schedule, and develop officials for all sports offered
Work in collaboration with the Assistant Director to administer field maintenance and to track expenses
Supervise intramural and club sports contests
Promote and market intramural programs, club sports, and flash tournaments
Assist with student payroll, updating policies, and equipment inventory
Manage Open Rec hours and equipment check-out system
Assist in the maintenance and inventory of open rec equipment
Supervise checkout system with Residential Life and track the usage of this checkout equipment regularly
Admission to – as well as continuous enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in a University Master’s Degree program
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university
1-2 years of previous Intramural Sports experience in intramural programming, sports officiating, and staff management
High level of comfort with frequent student interaction, with residing on campus, and being accessible outside of traditional office hours
Demonstrated ability to successfully balance, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in an active, fast-paced environment, while providing superior customer service
Admission to – as well as continuous enrollment and satisfactory academic progress in – a Jacksonville University Master’s Degree program or University of North Florida Master of Education or Master of Science
Experience working with or participating in club sports
Knowledge of IMLeagues and When To Work
Excellent oral, written, computer, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
CPR & First Aid Certified

Additional Salary Information: •2 year commitment as a full time graduate assistant under the Campus Recreation & Wellness in Student Affairs
•Stipend of $10,000 over a 10 month period, August 1 – May 15 with an average of 20 hours per week
•Jacksonville University does not provide tuition for graduate assistants
•Graduate assistants are provided housing on campus in a residence hall room furnished by the university, with utilities and parking.
•A full meal plan is provided, subject to the schedule of on-campus dining facilities.
