Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Lerner Health & Wellness Center, the Program Associate for Lerner Staff Operations will be responsible for the following:
Plan, staff, and schedule Lerner Health and Wellness Center for full operation throughout the year, and collaborate with appropriate campus departments to respond to issues that arise (University Police Department, Safety and Security, Housing, Diversity and Inclusion, Title IX, etc).
Manage the recruitment process for various departmental student and temporary positions as well as assisting with the on-boarding process.
Track and estimate the payroll budget of graduate student and student staff personnel, including Federal Work Study, Hourly Wage employees, and temporary appointments through the use of staffing software (When To Work).
Create, coordinate, and implement all initial and ongoing student employee training sessions, including operations, safety/security, and risk management/reduction.
Will work with a graduate assistant, under the supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, with staff hiring and development and will help in coordinating recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and supervision of 150+ person student staff to maintain operation of building.
Will help the Senior Associate Athletic Director to develop and implement professional development programming of student staff personnel, including promoting work place transferable skills.
Support the Manager of Membership and Client Relations in the creation and implementation of regular trainings focused on the delivery of exceptional customer service and program and membership sales.
Assist the Senior Associate Athletic Director and Manager of Member and Client Relations in CRM software trainings for all staff positions.
The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
General knowledge of office management techniques.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, the Internet, E-mail) and in using standard office equipment.
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
Ability to analyze and interpret policy and procedural questions.
Ability to research and resolve office management problems and questions.
Ability to organize workflow and coordinate activities.
Ability to prioritize workload.
Ability to update skills on a continual basis.
