NKU Campus Recreation is seeking qualified applicants for the Facility Coordinator and Memberships & Marketing Coordinator.
The Facility Coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision and administration of Campus Recreation Center (CRC) daily operations. Responsibilities include: Supervision of CRC operations and development of 60+ student staff.
The Membership & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development of member recruitment, engagement, and retention strategies, managing membership services business activities, supervision of 10-14 student staff, development of marketing plans, and ideas to create new revenue.
Facility Coordinator Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of 169,000 sq. ft. Campus Recreation Center to include: facility access, equipment inventory, setup, and customer service
Manage CRC daily schedule. Ensure facility spaces are properly set up for classes and programs by communicating set up needs to facility managers
Resolve patron facility use issues through quality customer service and conflict resolution
Provide onsite supervision for special events. Assist reservation groups with access, setup, and utilization of facility
Coordinate maintenance activities while on duty. Submit maintenance requests in coordination with Associate Director for Facilities
Responsible for ensuring proper daily activity space/equipment cleaning and laundry is completed
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate over 60+ facility student employees
Create and manage student employee work schedules for open recreation hours
Ensure appropriate staffing for all hours of operation
Schedule appropriate personnel for outside of hours events
Delegate staffing and supervision of special events to Facility Mangers with setup and schedule information
Complete payroll and administrative procedures for 60+ facility employees following university and departmental guidelines
Budget over $200,000 in student employee payroll over the course of the fiscal year
Accurately record facility operations expenditures on departmental logs
Maintain inventory of loose equipment and place timely orders to keep equipment issue supplies stocked
Research the purchase of equipment and supplies
Seek out opportunities to expand departmental revenues
Memberships & Marketing Responsibilities:
Responsible for the development, direction and evaluation of comprehensive marketing and branding strategies for the department’s membership services
Oversee the creation and production of printed materials, website, and social media outlets
Develop and lead the CRC's member recruitment strategy including new member marketing, promotions, trial membership, tours, orientations, surveys, events, and member referral program
Coordinate the member retention program including member appreciation events, renewals, retention reward programs, and member exit surveys. Solicit and synthesize member feedback, and recommend and implement membership improvement efforts
Manage the CRC member listserv messaging. Oversees daily, weekly, and monthly email communications in regards to membership expirations, locker rental reminders, balances on account, and new member welcome messaging
Serve as administrator for computerized membership, locker and sales software program (Fusion)
Configure Fusion software to allow for membership and locker sales and the collection of registration fees for programs and services
Update Fusion program each semester and throughout the year to reflect changes in program offerings and fees
Manage database of paid memberships and locker rentals
Utilize Fusion program and SAP Business Warehouse to generate monthly, quarterly and yearly reports
Oversee member services desk staffing, including hiring, training and supervising 10-14 student employees and Graduate Assistant. Train member services staff on membership software, customer service.
Must have 2 years of experience working in collegiate recreation
Must have experience serving as Facility Operations
Memberships & Marketing Requirements:
2 years of experience working in collegiate recreation, business operations, membership management, or marketing
