Assist in the overall administrative and management of the Campus Recreation Marketing Department.
Assist the Coordinator of Marketing and Membership.
Assist in the scheduling, planning, supervising and leading student staff in the development of all marketing aspects.
All GA’s must be accepted into the URI Graduate School and enrolled in a masters or higher degree level programs.
General Job Requirements
Attend bi-weekly professional staff meetings and lead marketing student meetings.
Assist with hiring and overseeing 6-10 marketing students, to include digital content editors, photographers and graphic designers.
Develop, manage, and deliver a variety of marketing initiatives including advertising, promotions, branding, campus outreach, social media, email marketing, video/photography creation, and digital signage.
Develop and critique graphic design projects such as posters, schedules, digital ads, and social media.
Assist with production and editing of marketing videos and photography.
Serve as department marketing liaison to student stakeholders (i.e. - Registered Student Organizations, the student newspaper, Greek Life, etc.).
Assist in website reviews and updates.
Promote the department’s vision through the creation and execution of diverse and progressive marketing materials/promotions/tactics.
1+ years’ experience in program or event marketing/advertising.
Experience using Adobe Cloud Suite and with administration of social media platforms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
1+ years’ experience in program or event marketing/advertising in a higher education setting.
Experience with branding, brand management, website, photography, and/or graphic design.
Experience working within a campus recreation setting and direct management of student employees.
