Kennesaw State University’s Department of Sports and Recreation has a Graduate Assistant opening for the 2020-2021 academic year for the area of Fitness (1). The appointment for the position will begin August of 2020 and conclude May of 2021; the position is expected to work up to 20 hours per week. Student fees, school application fees, and other expenses will be the responsibility of individual filling the positions.

The Fitness Graduate Assistant position is offered by Kennesaw State University. The applicant must be accepted into an applicable graduate program at KSU, as well as apply for the Fitness Graduate Assistant position. The Fitness Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting in managing the comprehensive fitness program. Reporting directly to the Senior Coordinator of Fitness, the Fitness Graduate Assistant’s primary responsibilities will be administrating personal training and small group training sessions and overseeing the daily fitness operations.

A Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Recreation, Sports Management, Physical Education, or other related field; strong communication and customer service skills; ability to collaboratively work with students, faculty, staff, and the community. Full time enrollment in a two-year graduate program at the institution provided in position description. Experience in Collegiate Recreation fitness programming as required by position.
