Campus Recreation at Florida Gulf Coast University, in the Division of Student Success & Enrollment Management, has a Facility Operations Coordinator position to be filled for July 1, 2020. We're looking for team-oriented and self-directed individuals with strong leadership skills to join the Campus Rec Nation at FGCU.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director- Facility Operations, the position will manage the day-to day operations of facilities including the brand new University Recreation and Wellness Center. This includes, but us not limited to supervision & development of student staff, event management, oversight of membership services, facility management & maintenance
Typical duties may include but are not limited to:
Implements and manages membership engagement programs including locker & towel service, membership renewal & incentive programs, and member giveaways
Hires, supervises, and trains 25-30 Customer Service Representatives.
Manages inventory of checkout and facility reservation equipment
Responsible for staffing and on-site execution for facility reservations
Develops, plans and implements events, programs, meetings, and activities within area of responsibility.
Assists with cash handling procedures/training and audits with Office of the Bursar
Collects and analyzes data to assess and evaluate programs and initiatives.
Schedules facilities for campus recreation activities. Conducts regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety.
Other duties include:
Assists with the development, implementation, evaluation, and compliance of risk management procedures.
Assists with the development, management, and distribution of organizational budgets.
Assists with purchasing and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
Monitors expenditures, researches purchase options, and creates requisitions and purchase orders.
Assists with the implementation of various special event programs for department.
Assists in establishing and implementing procedures within area of assigned responsibility.
Serves as essential personnel and provides assistance in the event of an emergency on campus.
Serves on Departmental/ Division Committees as assigned

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, or closely related field.
Two years of full-time professional experience related to the position.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications or able to obtain within three months of employment.
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Recreation Management, Sports Administration, or closely related field
Two years of full-time professional experience in higher education campus recreation related to the position.
Experience scheduling and supervising the work of student employees.
Experience and proficiency with recreation management software, such as Innosoft Fusion, CSI, or similar.
