Within the Campus Recreation at Saint Mary’s College of California the Kinesiology Graduate Student Coordinator supports Campus Recreation by assisting in the development and fulfillment of the day-to-day operations, programming and coordination in one or more of the following areas:
Facility Operations, Fitness Programming, Club Sport Operations, Intramural Operations, and/or Marketing/Social Media.
1. Assist with the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of student staff. 2. Coordinate departmental programs and special events. 3. Communicate effectively with full-time personnel. 4. Assist in the management of student participants. 5. Collect data and research to improve on operations and programs offered. 6. Other duties as assigned.
Position includes a $2500 scholarship per semester and hourly salary.

Required Qualifications Acceptance into the Saint Mary's College of California Master of Arts in Kinesiology program; must maintain enrollment in the Graduate Kinesiology program with a minimum of 5 units during the Fall 2020 semester in order to maintain eligibility. ? Available 15 – 20 hours a week. ? Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills: ? Includes work-related, volunteer, athletic team captain (high school or above), and/or an executive board position with a club/organization (President, Vice President, Treasury, or multiple official positions within the club/org.).
? Has the ability to work in a team and individually. ? Has applied problem solving and/or conflict management skills. ? Possesses basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.). ? Able to lift at least 50lbs.
