You will have the opportunity to:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Student Recreation Center, facility scheduling and event management, risk management and security, management of Connect2Concepts for the department, and facility operations. Additionally, the Facilities Coordinator will supervise a Facility Manager team of approximately 10 student employees, a Facility Attendant team of approximately 15 student employees, and in conjunction with the Member Services Coordinator, assist and collaborate in the delivery of recreation center memberships, customer service, and student training and development.
The breakdown of the position duties:
40% staff supervision, onboarding, and development
40% facility scheduling and event management
10% software applications: operations and training
10% risk management and security

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two (2) years of experience in a similar position including one (1) year of managerial experience with demonstrated skills in the same type of work
Experience in similar type of work: One (1) year or two (2) years as a Graduate Assistant
Experience in same type of work: One (1) year or two (2) years as a Graduate Assistant
Master’s degree in Recreation, Sport Management, Athletic Administration, Business Administration, Kinesiology, or related field
Direct personnel management experience of student employee teams: recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining
Budget development and budget management experience
Two (2) years’ work experience managing operations of a recreation facility in higher education
Two (2) years’ work experience with facility scheduling and/or coordinating event management in higher education
Experience in oral and written communication such as teaching:
Developing/delivering presentation content/materials; writing reports, proposals, professional correspondence, manuals, etc.
Experience with facility drop-in recreation programs in higher education
Experience with facility scheduling software (e.g., Innosoft Fusion or comparable)
Experience with facility management software (e.g., Connect2Concepts or comparable)
Experience programming or service delivery for diverse community populations
