Recruit, hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and certify attendance and leave of up to 160 student workers, including program assistants, esports moderators, supervisors, and intramural officials
Design, implement, and evaluate sport club officer training sessions for up to 300 officers from over 50 unique clubs
Create, organize, and assess an evaluation model that includes online feedback forms and video evaluations for student supervisors and officials
Aid in the functioning of the student-run Sport Club Council, including attending meetings, assisting in the oversight and administration of annual and interim budgets totaling $300,000, and reviewing the creation and implementation of all policies of the Sport Club Council
Aid in the development and administration of the USF Esports community through active participation and engagement within the Discord along with supporting and facilitating various nightly programs ranging from drop-in events to scheduled leagues.
Participate and take lead on professional development opportunities, including: serving on department and university committees, attending regional and/or national conferences, seminars, and workshops, volunteering at extramural or sport club tournaments, and aiding the student staff in organizing travel through the student official’s association to attend similar events.
Oversees the daily operations, programs, and staff of an eight-lane short-course competition lap pool, a resort-style multipurpose pool with a shaded terrace leisure space, and two residential-style pools.
Supervise, recruit, hire, train, schedule, and evaluate 20-25 student employees
Supervise and mentor three student program assistants
Assist in planning, developing, and implementation of aquatic programming
Teach American Red Cross courses determined by held certifications
Assist in achieving the program and department’s strategic goals

Graduate Assistants are paid based on the 12 month graduate assistant contract as negotiated by the Graduate Student Union. The position includes a $16,030 stipend, and optional health insurance through the university. Tuition waivers are dependent on the College in which you are admitted to and should be discussed with your supervisor and anticipated academic program. An additional pro-rated 9 month appointment based on academic and work performance is included for the second year of the assistantship is expected.
