Graduate Assistant, Fitness Job Summary The Graduate Assistant, Fitness in the Office of Recreational Services at The University of Toledo will be directly supervised by the Associate Director, Programs & Assessment. The Fitness Graduate Assistant will be responsible for hiring, scheduling and training of all Group Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers. The Fitness Graduate Assistant will also be responsible for overseeing the fitness clinic, which consists of fitness testing compliant with all ACSM recommendations. This position is also responsible for assisting with all fitness programming and special events. Responsibilities - Responsible for management of Group Fitness Instructors and Personal Trainers including supervision, hiring, training, scheduling, disciplining, and evaluating.
- Responsible for organization and administration of walk-in fitness clinic.
- Develop and implement programming to provide quality fitness and wellness programs and activities.
- Assist with organization and administration of group fitness programs.
- Contribute to administrative duties for the fitness programming area including budgeting, scheduling, etc.
- Assist with the supervision of Fitness Student Specialist position
- Serve as a contributing member of the Student Development Committee.
- Assist with coordinating and planning Leadership and Training Week for fall and Spring Semesters
- Assist with coordinating Student Leadership Academy (SLA)
- Assist with coordinating development opportunities with campus and community partners
- Serve on Student Infraction Appeals Committee
- Other duties as assigned.

- Must have and maintain current American Red Cross BLS CPR/AED and First Aid Certification.
- Prefer instructor level certification (can be obtained within the first 6 months of hire).

- Must clear a criminal background check through The University of Toledo Police Department.
- Must possess current personal training (ACE Certified Personal Trainer, ACSM Certified Personal Trainer or Health/Fitness Specialist, or NASM Personal Trainer, or NSCA Personal Trainer/Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), primary group fitness certification or format specific certification.

Graduate Assistant, Marketing & Promotions Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Graduate Assistant for Marketing and Promotions is to work directly with the Assistant Director of Marketing & Guest Services to enhance the overall marketing and promotions for Recreational Services. This position requires managing of the Website Student Specialist, the Videographer/ Photographer student employee and any intern that will work within marketing. This position works to facilitate the University's goal of implementing the new brand while assuring that you are following all marking protocol. This job requires a deadline-oriented mindset with use of marketing trends that are specific to a college audience. This Graduate Assistant will be responsible for a variety of marketing initiatives including creating, advertising, promotions, campus outreach, social media, and staff training. This person will need to be able to solve on-the-job issues by utilizing effective critical thinking and decision-making skills and must possess the ability to work with diverse populations.
