The Graduate Assistant for Club Sports is responsible for assisting in the planning, organizing and evaluating of the Quinnipiac University Club Sports program.
Assist with the daily operation of the Club Sports program that serves 12 teams
Provide site supervision for home contests and practices as needed
Attend regional and/or national tournaments with teams as needed
Collaborate with AT staff to ensure all athletes have provided proper paperwork
Plan and market Club Sport initiatives
Assist with the advisement of the Club Sports Advisory Board
Assist with semesterly data collection
Maintain QU Club Sports social media accounts
Assist with the planning and execution of semesterly leadership trainings
Other duties as assigned
Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in related field.
Previous experience in sports and recreation programs or facilities.
Familiarity with current trends and practices within the recreational sports profession.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to relate effectively with students.
Willingness to learn Campus Recreation business operations functions.
Previous club sport participation or supervision.
Previous business operations or business curriculum experience.
Experience using IMLeagues software.
This is a 10-month position from August 1-May 30 and is renewable for one additional year. Nights and weekends are required. Offer contingent on acceptance into a Quinnipiac Graduate Program.
Position works 29.5 hours per week
Additional Salary Information: Tuition waiver for 9 credits per semester
